Franklin I. Welch was an architect in Boston and Malden, Ma. Born and educated in Malden, he was in business for himself in Boston for many years. A practicing Christian Scientist, he drew plans for the original Christian Science Church in Boston and also the Christian Science Church in Manchester, N.H. The Pioneer Press Building (now known as the Pioneer Building) was designed by architect Solon Beman of Chicago.
