Franklin I. Welch was an architect in Boston and Malden, Ma. Born and educated in Malden, he was in business for himself in Boston for many years. A practicing Christian Scientist, he drew plans for the original Christian Science Church in Boston and also the Christian Science Church in Manchester, N.H.
